Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Engineering Program at the University of Michigan, USA.
Recently, I just arrived in Ann Arbor and jumped to my new journey.
I studied climate change and the development of carbon circulation technology using microorganisms. Also, I am interested in public health (pathogenic microorganisms).
During my master’s program:
Developed rhizoremediation technology to remediate diesel-contaminated soil using compost and plants (tall fescue and maize)
Analyzed changes in soil microbial community structure during soil remediation (Lee et al., 2022)
Evaluated the remediating effect on pilot-scale contaminated soil by separating hydrocarbon-decomposing bacteria (Pseudomonas sp. DTF1) from the plant rhizosphere.
Additionally, my PI and I tried the world’s first Next-Generation Sequencing analysis based on alkB, a gene with a hydrocarbon decomposition function (Yang et al., 2022).
